Local TT

The local triathlon club has a monthly TT. Its a short course of about 5miles. Its hilly for the first 2miles, and then flat for the remainder.

I have been feeling pretty good on the TT bike lately. The first race about a month ago, I averaged ~27.5mph @ 350w. That netted me 1st @ 10:39.

Last week was the second race, I had lowered my position, so i thought that i would go faster but with less power. I was able to average 350w again, but went 10:28.

Next race is a 40k TT in San Antonio.

University Oaks II

Back in San Antonio for a 70min crit. This time we had about 35 starters.

After talking with John T. I had a feeling we were going to go off the front in the first 2 laps. The first break went on lap 1/2. We had about 8-9 guys, rotating well and we lapped the field by the 15min mark.

We made it back into the field and i was ready for the next attack, i decided to be more aggressive and instigate the next move. After being off the front for a couple of laps a couple of guys started to shoot off the front, so i soft-pedalled, unfortunately the guys that came up were all a lap down. So i just sat on their wheel. Eventually 3 other guys came across who were also a lap up, i jumped in with them and we dropped the other riders.

At this point I was with Wholrobe, Cody and Gilliam. We rotated hard and caught the field for a second time.

With a lap to go the field was strung out, i jumped a little early out of the last corner but ended up third again.
